Former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen would make his return to motorsport this weekend, during the 24-hour race in Dubai. But the father of F1 world champion Max Verstappen has to let this pass for the second time. His comeback on the TT circuit in Assen was canceled due to corona and now Verstappen cannot participate ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’.

Verstappen senior would drive for the GPElite team in the 992 Pro class and would drive a Porsche 911 GT3, together with pupil Thierry Vermeulen, Roger Hodenius and Steven van Rhee. But according to RN365, Jos would suddenly have disappeared from the registration list. When Verstappen was asked why he was no longer participating, he indicated that unfortunately he could not participate in the Dubai 24 Hours due to unforeseen circumstances.
