Jos Verstappen will make his official return to motorsport this weekend, during the Dubai 24 Hours. The father of the Formula 1 world champion initially wanted to make his comeback on November 27, during the Jack’s International Drenthe Rally, but that event was canceled due to the corona measures.
Less than a month after Max Verstappen managed to secure the world title in Formula 1, father Jos makes his comeback. The 24 Hours of Dubai is the event on which the 49-year-old Limburger will make his comeback. In recent months, we have already seen the former Formula 1 driver practice a lot to be prepared for the start.
The event kicks off on Friday, January 14 at 12:00 PM Dutch time. Verstappen drives for the GP Elite team and drives around with start number 933. The last time Verstappen senior got behind a racing wheel was in 2009.
