In collaboration with the experts, we present the weather forecast for the Russian Grand Prix 2021.
What will the weather bring on Sunday, after it rained almost all the time on Saturday. The conditions were so bad that the third free practice was cancelled. The wet qualifying provided several surprises, including the pole for Lando Norris.
Max Verstappen has to start from twentieth position and a catch-up race awaits him. This time, however, the rain tires can remain in the rack, because the weather forecast for the GP of Russia shows only a small chance of rain.
The temperature rises from 12 degrees in the morning to 17 degrees around noon. In the afternoon there is a good chance that it will remain dry, but there will be large cumulus clouds that can cause a local shower.
The chance that such a shower will fall over the Sochi Autodrom exactly during the race is estimated at 10 to 20%. For the drivers, the lower outside temperature (19 degrees), in combination with a low track temperature and moderate wind (3 Bft.) will certainly take some getting used to in the first laps.
