Last year Kevin Magnussen was able to impress in his first 24 hours of Daytona, so this year he can try again for Chip Ganassi Racing. In 2021 he drove a full-time program in the IMSA, this year he has been called up to drive the No. 2 Cadillac as the fourth driver. Here he drives alongside Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn and former F1 driver Marcus Ericsson.

The No. 1 Cadillac will be driven during the 24-hour race by Renger van der Zande, Sebastien Bourdais, Scott Dixon and IndyCar champion Alex Palou. Not the slightest names for Chip Ganassi Racing. The two Cadillac cars will be a serious shot at winning the prestigious event.

For Magnussen it is another good step in his motorsport career. After his Formula 1 adventure at Haas ended in 2020, it was far from time for retirement. The Danish racing driver has plenty of new challenges, such as the new WEC Hypercar program in which he can be seen from this year.
