Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 world champion in Abu Dhabi. The Dutchman passed Lewis Hamilton on the very last lap of the season, making Verstappen the fourth youngest world champion of all time. The battle between the two ruffs has boosted viewing figures.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in particular benefited from the fierce title battle, which was thrillingly exciting from the first race. The Yas Marina Circuit race was watched by 97% more people in 2021 than the year before. In 2020 Lewis Hamilton had long been world champion and the race was actually about nothing, while everything was still at stake this year.

Over the entire season, there is a 13 percent increase in viewing figures compared to 2020. This is also the result of the exciting battle between Hamilton and Verstappen.
