Red Bull and sister team AlphaTauri will race this weekend with a different livery. The temporary livery pays tribute to engine supplier Honda.
Originally, the Japanese Grand Prix was on the calendar this weekend. This would be the last home race of engine supplier Honda in Formula 1. However, due to the corona crisis, the Japanese GP has been canceled for the second consecutive year.
Red Bull and AlphaTauri come this weekend with a tribute during the Turkish Grand Prix. The Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will mainly be white, inspired by the Honda RA272 with which American driver Richie Ginther took the first Formula 1 victory on behalf of Honda in the Mexican Grand Prix in 1965.
The color scheme on the Red Bull is a tribute to engine supplier Honda. The Red Bulls are predominantly white and the AlphaTauri have a special message on the rear wing: ありがとう(arigato), which means “thank you”.
Verstappen already drove the white Honda RA272 in the past.
