Red Bull Content Pool

The Red Bull Young Driver Program is a very successful training team of Red Bull Racing. It was founded in 2001 and has already guided several great drivers to Formula 1. The most famous names are: Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo. In 2022, the ‘pool’ of Red Bull can be called large again.

There are no fewer than twelve drivers on Red Bull’s training team in 2022, all of whom will compete in junior classes in motorsport. From Formula 2 to Formula Regional EU, the Red Bull Young Driver Program is represented almost everywhere. But who are all driving with Red Bull backing this year?

Formula 2

Formula 2, the highest entry level for Formula 1, will not be without Red Bull talent next season. Five drivers from the Red Bull training team will make an appearance, one of which will receive a lot of attention: Dennis Hauger. The Norwegian, born in 2003, won the Formula 3 championship in a dominant way last season and can prove himself in F2 this year.

The other Red Bull talents in Formula 2 are: Jüri Vips (2000), Liam Lawson (2002), Jehan Daruvala (1998) and Ayumu Iwasa (2001).

Formula 3

In Formula 3, the class before F2, there are three Red Bull drivers. One driver is fully focused on the F3 season, while two other drivers are combining F3 with the Asian Formula 3 Championship.

Jonny Edgar (2004) will drive F3 alone this year, while Jak Crawford (2005) and Isack Hadjar (2004) will compete in both classes.

Lower classes

In addition to the official entry-level classes for Formula 1, the Red Bull Young Driver Program is also represented in the smaller and national junior classes. Souta Areo (2005) and Yuto Nomura (2005) drive in the French Formula 4 championship, in the F4 championship fourteen-year-old(!) Arvid Lindblad (2007) drives for the Dutch VAR and Noel Leon (2004) competes in the Formula Regional EU.
