Verstappen grabs with minimal difference next to pole position in virtual 24 hours of Le Mans


Max Verstappen narrowly missed pole position during qualifying for the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Dutchman was only two thousandths short in the coveted spot at the front.

The virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans will be held next weekend and is one of the biggest events in esports. The organization of the event has managed to unpack in terms of participants this year. Brand new world champion Verstappen is participating in the event. He will drive the number 123 with Team Redline this coming weekend.

The virtual race weekend could hardly have started better for Verstappen and his team. While Team Redline still started from P5 in 2020, this performance was significantly improved this year. In an exciting qualifying session, the Dutchman and his team eventually came short of only two thousandths behind for the coveted pole position, meaning Team Redline will start from the front row, but not from P1.

The virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans will start on Saturday from 13:30 to chase the coveted final victory together with Atze Kerkhof, Felix Rosenqvist and Maximilian Benecke.
