Verstappen misses pole position by 0.002 seconds

Two thousandths. Two thousandths was the difference between the pole position time and Max Verstappen’s time in qualifying for the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans. And that in a round of 3 minutes and 21 seconds. The good news for Team Redline was that pole position went to the other car of the successful sim race team.

The formation of Oliver Rowland and Felipe Drugovich, among others, will start the race from P1, but the #123 of Verstappen, Atze Kerkhof, Max Benecke and Felix Rosenqvist will therefore start the race from P2.

P3 was for the Mercedes AMG eSports team including Daniel Juncadella. At 0.037 seconds from the time of Verstappen, that difference was also extremely small.

The virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans will start on Saturday at 2:00 PM and can be viewed live on this website.
