Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher will represent Team Germany at the Race of Champions in Sweden next year. They will accompany Formula 1 colleague Valtteri Bottas, who participates in the competition on behalf of Finland.
In the Race of Champions, drivers from different racing disciplines compete against each other in equal cars to determine who is the real champion. Over the years, several Formula 1 drivers have participated in the event, including Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard, Felipe Massa and Pascal Wehrlein. This time, however, it will not take place in a stadium. The 2022 edition will be held in the northernmost region of Sweden, near the Arctic Circle, with the drivers competing for the title on snow and ice.
Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher have confirmed that they will also participate in the competition in 2022. The two are already familiar with the event, as they already rode together in 2019. Then they came second in Mexico. “I’m looking forward to rejoining the Race of Champions and to representing Germany with Mick,” said Vettel. “At the ROC in Mexico we came second in the ROC Nations Cup, our goal is to win one place in Sweden.”

“Representing Germany with Sebastian will definitely be fun, of course we want to win another trophy,” said Schumacher. “We have to continue the success of Team Germany and fight for the win. I am convinced that we will both take it very seriously.”
The two will meet another Formula 1 driver in Sweden. Valtteri Bottas had already confirmed his participation in the Race of Champions earlier this year. Former Formula 1 driver Mika Häkkinen, nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, Rallycross champions Johan Kristoffersson and Petter Solberg, rally champion Sebastian Loeb and three-time Race of Champions winner Mattias Ekström will also take part in the event. . The Race of Champions will take place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 February 2022 in Pite Havsbad, Sweden.
