For several years, all Formula 1 cars have had a 360-degree camera mounted on the top of the car between the nose and cockpit. Those cameras have shot spectacular videos of the crash between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in the Italian Grand Prix.
These videos that don’t come across very often, but the videos that the 360-degree cameras shoot in Formula 1 often offer a completely new perspective on certain events and in particular crashes. Likewise in the case of Max Verstappen vs. Lewis Hamilton .
The onboard videos show the impact of a crash, even at such a low speed. The 360-degree camera is of course also aimed at Hamilton the moment Verstappen’s RB16B hits his helmet.
