Max Verstappen sees title rival Lewis Hamilton slide ten places back on the grid for the Turkish Grand Prix this weekend, but the Dutchman will have to work hard to take advantage of that. It is the tentative conclusion after Friday at the Istanbul Park.
In a new Formula 1 update, Ronald Vording and Koen Sniekers look back extensively on the Friday of the Turkish Grand Prix. The day started with the news that Lewis Hamilton is switching to his fourth combustion engine of the season in Istanbul, earning him a ten-place grid penalty on Sunday. For the time being, however, there is no man overboard with the Mercedes team, which got off to a strong start in Turkey on Friday.
In the video at the top of this page, of course, attention is also paid to the day of Max Verstappen, who just had a lesser day with his white-colored RB16B. The Limburger had difficulty finding the right adjustment of his Red Bull on Friday and said afterwards that there is still a lot of work to be done to set things right this weekend.
The reactions of the main players, a preview of qualifying and an update on the state of affairs regarding the still unforgivable second seat at Alfa Romeo for 2022 can be seen in a new Formula 1 update!
