Wolff ends season: “This is what it feels like to be alive”

Where Lewis Hamilton has not yet made himself heard, the Mercedes team boss has concluded the season. Toto Wolff leaves a year-end message for the fans of Mercedes via Twitter.

December turned out to be a dramatic month for the Austrian’s team. Although Mercedes saw the constructors’ title coming their way, Max Verstappen managed to become the champion of the drivers’ standings. On the final lap in Abu Dhabi, he overtook his title rival Hamilton. Mercedes filed a protest, but, after it was rejected by the stewards, did not appeal again.

new season

“2021 is ready, there were highs, but also lows. But, that’s how it feels to be alive,” says Wolff sportingly. He therefore wants to put the events in Abu Dhabi behind him. The coming season will also be important for Mercedes. The German team also has to produce a new Formula 1 car and it remains to be seen whether this will be the fastest and a dominant car.

In addition to next year’s rule changes, Hamilton’s teammate is also different. After three years with Williams, George Russell gets the chance to join Germany’s top team. The young Briton has been fighting for the second seat at Mercedes for some time, next year he can show what he is worth next to the seven-time world champion.
