A new clue has been found for a PC version of the PlayStation 5 game Returnal.
The hint was spotted by Alexander Battaglia of Digital Foundry. Footage from the game at the Game Developers Conference discussed the visual effects of Returnal. VFX artist Risto Jankkila and Senior Graphics Programmer Sharman Jagadeesan, both employed by developer Housemarque, showed how the visual effects are programmed. Battaglia noted in the video that the version shown has a debug menu stating dynamic resolution. That menu is missing in the PlayStation 5 version.
Recently, there have been more indications of a PC version of Returnal. In May, the game appeared on SteamDB, and a month later, photos of Returnal and Sackboy A Big Adventure leaked with graphics options menus.
Sony has been working on bringing big games to PC for a while now. Previously Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, Days Gone and Spider-Man all made their way to the computer. Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be added later.
