The second week of the NFL is upon us. In the weekly NFL previews, an NFL editor from Fpal makes their predictions for that week’s duels. This way, at the end of the season, it can be determined who has the best view of the competition. Also in week 2 there are delicious pots on the program. The eyes are mainly focused on the teams that had a bad start last week.
New York Giants @ Washington Football Team
FedEx Field | Thursday night | 2.20
Ryan Fitzpatrick was injured in his first game for the Washington Football Team and will have to watch for several weeks. Yet Washington still has the better quarterback in this game with Taylor Heinicke . He gives his team the victory in week 2. Prediction: Football Team .
Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins
Hard Rock Stadium | 19.00
The duel between the two favorites in the AFC East. Buffalo wants to prove itself after last week’s lesser game and show that it still has the attack from last season. Ultimately this will be too much for the Dolphins, who will probably have to aim for a wildcard spot. Prediction: Bills.
New England Patriots @ New York Jets
MetLife Stadium | 19.00
The duel between the two bottom teams in the AFC East with of course a clear favorite. They have the better rookie quarterback, the better coach, and home field advantage. Prediction: Jets.
Denver Broncos @ Jacksonville Jaguars
EverBank Field | 19.00
The team with a talented young quarterback against the team that has everything but a talented quarterback. Losing Jerry Jeudy hurts the Broncos, but they can get away with it against the Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence has already thrown three interceptions against the Texans. So how is he supposed to survive the much better defense of the Broncos? Prediction: Broncos.
San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Lincoln Financial Field | 19.00
The most important question for this game is: which 49ers player is currently injured? It is week 2 of the new season and the injuries are already piling up. Jason Verrett and Raheem Mostert will miss the rest of the season. However, enough quality remains to beat the NFC East frontrunner. Prediction: San Francisco 49ers.
Los Angeles Rams @ Indianapolis Colts
Lucas Oil Stadium | 19.00
Matthew Stafford impressed in his first game for his new squad. Carson Wentz ? That was clearly less so. Of course Stafford also has a better team around him. The Colts had no chance on Sunday and will be again this week. The Rams are a serious challenger in the NFC. Prediction: Rams.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Heinz Field | 19.00
Two teams that started the season with a surprise win. The Steelers defense clearly has not had to step back under the leadership of TJ Watt . Big Ben might be, but if it was enough against the Bills, it should certainly be enough to beat the Raiders. Prediction: Steelers.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Chicago Bears
Soldier Field | 19.00
Hopefully it’s the last time Bears fans have to watch Andy Dalton . Or it should be images from the couch after a Justin Fields play . The Bears were lucky to make the playoffs last season and will not repeat that. Start the rookie! The Bears’ defense is also less than last year, with the Bengals stealing their second win in a row against an NFC North side. Prediction: Bengals.
Houston Texans @ Cleveland Browns
FirstEnergy Stadium | 19.00
The Browns. Despite the victory of the Texans last Sunday, we don’t need to go into this in detail. Prediction: Browns.
New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers
Bank of America Stadium | 19.00
An attack with Alvin Kamara and a defense with Marshon Lattimore are still good. Who knew ? The Saints aren’t a threat to the Bucs, but they are too good for the rest of the division. Jameis Winston will probably lose a few more games through about four stupid interceptions, but not on Sunday. Prediction: Saints.
Minnesota Vikings @ Arizona Cardinals
University of Phoenix Stadium | 22.05
Kyler Murray was fantastic against the Titans and wasn’t even the best player on his squad. The Vikings have already proven they don’t have a good defense against the Bengals. Insofar as they hadn’t shown that last year. Now they have to visit the Cardinals. This is a hopeless mission. Prediction: Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Raymond James Stadium | 22.05
The worst team in the NFC visit the best. That doesn’t bode well. Las Vegas expects the Bucs to win by 12.5 points. There will be more, because if you can’t even stop the Eagles… Prediction: Bucs.
Tennessee Titans @ Seattle Seahawks
Lumen Field | 22.25
The twelfth man from Seattle is finally back. Hardly anywhere is home field advantage as great as with the Seahawks. That alone is a big problem for the Titans, who were disappointing offensively against the Cardinals. Defensively it wasn’t the best either, but that’s no different than expected. Russell Wilson is going to take advantage of this and briefly become another MVP contender. Until he relapses later in the season. Prediction: Seahawks.
Dallas Cowboys @ LA Chargers
SoFi Stadium | 22.25
The Chargers kept it tense against the Football Team for half a game; mainly because of their own mistakes. The Cowboys, on the other hand, performed above expectations. Dak Prescott is back and the only mistake the team made was giving Tom Brady too much time for a field goal drive. Okay and miss a precious field goal and a PAT. They can get away with this against the Chargers. Prediction: Cowboys.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Baltimore Ravens
M&T Bank Stadium | Sunday night | 2.20
The Browns did everything right for three quarters of the game and still lost to the Chiefs. The Ravens’ start was a lot less. The Chiefs’ run defense isn’t that great, so that’s Baltimore’s only chance. However, in the end it will not be enough. Patrick Mahomes looks like a mission and Baltimore just doesn’t have enough to stop it. Prediction : Chiefs.
Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers
Lambeau Field | Monday night | 2.20
ALERT! Almost twice as many yards and eleven times as many points. The sample size may be small, but with Jared Goff , the Lions clearly have a much better attack than the Packers. Still, the Packers manage to pull off a stunt and beat the Lions during MNF. Prediction: Packers.
