Patrick Peterson limped off the field against the Panthers. The Vikings cornerback appeared to have a groin injury after a failed pass to DJ Moore.
Earlier Monday the club announced cramps without specifying any particular injury, but ultimately Peterson was placed on the injured list. It will therefore be unavailable for at least three weeks.
In six games with his new team, the former All Pro will have produced 13 tackles and 2 defended passes.
Bashaud Breeland, Mackensie Alexander and Cameron Dantzler are the wingers who will enter the rotation to fill his absence.
