Shawn Layden has been hired as a strategic advisor at the Chinese company Tencent Games.
He announced this via LinkedIn. “I am thrilled to share that I was recently hired by Tencent Games as a strategic advisor. In this new role, I hope to advise, assist and support the team at Tencent as they continue their business within the industry I do most of. of my career to deepen part of breakup.”
Layden was previously the president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America. He left the company in September 2019. “We have entered an important era in gaming and interactive entertainment. There are many possible paths to take, but only a few are doepang, broadening, inclusive, edifying, inspiring and sustainable. I am thrilled to continue this journey of discovery can put and thank Tencent for the opportunity.”
Tencent has bought or invested in several game companies in recent years, including Sumo Digital, Remedy, Epic Games, Ubisoft, Dontnod, PlatinumGames, Riot Games, Turtle Rock Studios and Funcom.
