Super Mario Movie’s First Teaser Trailer Will Be Shown on October 6

The first trailer for the upcoming Super Mario animated movie will be shown at New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 6.

This is evident from a tweet from the event. The trailer will be shown at 10:00 PM Dutch time. Further details are not known – it is also not clear whether the teaser trailer will be shown during a panel, for example. The previously announced Super Mario movie has not been shown so far, so this would be the first.

Last April, it was announced that the Mario animated film has been postponed to April 2023. The film should have hit theaters at the end of this year.

Chris Pratt (Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy) plays Nintendo mascot Mario. Jack Black lends his voice to Bowser, Seth Rogen to Donkey Kong, Anna Taylor-Joy (Queen’s Gambit) to Princess Peach and Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) to Luigi. Keegan-Michael Key also provides the voice of Toad, Kevin Michael Richardson the voice of Kamek, Fred Armisen the voice of Cranky Kong and Sebastian Maniscalco the voice of Spike.

The film is made by Illumination, the company behind the Minions films.
