Europe has won the Laver Cup for the fourth time in a row. In Boston, even without Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, Team World would have been no help. Europe lost only 1 game: 14-1.
Team Europe had already closed the gap before the final day: Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Zverev, Roeblev and Berrettini had all won their singles. Team World could only pick up a point in a doubles match.
Because victories on the final day are worth 3 points, it was already over after the first match. Zverev and Roeblev turned the doubles against Isner and Shapovalov to their advantage and gave Europe 14 points.
With 6 players from the top 10 of the ATP ranking, Europe was a huge favorite, even without Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. At the previous three victories, in 2017, 2018 and 2019, 2 of those three toppers were present. For Team World, Félix Auger-Aliassime was the highest ranked player out of 11.
