Valve moves faster than expected through Steam Deck orders

Valve has already sent out all invitations to purchase the Steam Deck scheduled for the third quarter of this year.

The company has announced that. Valve has been able to produce copies of the Steam Deck faster than expected, so that anyone who wants to buy a Steam Deck and was scheduled for the third quarter has received an invitation to do so. Valve is therefore already switching to the orders that were planned in the fourth quarter of this year.

The company writes: “As some on the internet have noted (Reddit!), we are processing reservations faster than expected. This is due to increased production and because we have again exceeded our own estimates. With the series of emails from today we have now sent out invitations for all third quarter (July-September) reservations.”

Valve continues, “With Q3 finishing earlier, we’re getting a head start on the next batch of reservations and are working on reservations scheduled for Q4. We’ve tweaked the store page to reflect this, with an updated timeframe: September-December.”

Steam Deck is a handheld console hybrid that runs on a modified version of SteamOS. The operating system has been adapted, among other things, to the touchscreen of the machine. In addition, it is possible to use the device as a PC and to install other programs and game launchers.

Since the device has been available, there have been queues for ordering a Steam Deck.
